If you read my post on Vintage Shopping in Paris, you know how seriously I take my vintage shopping when traveling.  I just feel like you can usually buy just about anything online, except for cool vintage finds that you need to see in person.
First of all, if you aren’t exactly sure where Monaco is…  here is a map.

Just to give a tiny bit of background info, Monaco is a teensy tiny little Country. Like barely-3-miles-long tiny.  The richest people in the world live here.  Literally. There are no taxes! So they move here.  That being said, Monaco is not really known for vintage shopping given that their clientele probably have as many brand new Chanel bags as I have forever 21 skirts.  :) However… according to a few things I’ve read, some of these gals love to get rid of their items at a couple of places after each season.  Enter: “vintage” shopping.  In other words, often times the things you find here might not even be that old.
After doing some research, I found that the 2 best places for Vintage shopping are Stock Griffe, and Le Dressing.

Stock Griffe

Just like many small boutiques in Europe, there are 2 locations of Stock Griffe, right next to each other. I went in the first location and found absolutely nothing my style. I was so disappointed (especially after trekking up a hill). However, we discovered the second location just as we were about to give up.

Everything in the second location was my style!!

I found several pieces I loved, but I just about died over a vintage Moschino sheer dress. I had to have it.  It wasn’t overly priced and the uniqueness of it will be something I cherish in my closet for years to come!

I’m saving the debut of it for a special occasion, but here is a sneak peek!!

I mean, pretty fab right?

Me and my vintage Moschino Cape Dress Purchase!

Major Positive: Within walking distance of the center of Monaco where most hotels are.  (Although it is straight uphill like I mentioned!) Also, they carry a wide variety and probably most importantly, aren’t super duper expensive.  This is definitely more of a dig around and you’ll find something fabulous type place, which I love.

Brands: Moschino, Lanvin, plus many more

Le Dressing

There are also 2 separate locations of Le Dressing: one with your regular fabulous-ness, and one that is super high end with tons of Chanel.
The former being more of a dig-around-and-you’ll-find-something-amazing type place.  The latter being more of a scared-to-touch-anything type place.  Both are amazing and both are totally worth checking out.

I found an amazing vintage Versace bag here and it is perfect!

Major Positive: Everything is in superb condition.  You are definitely going to find something amazing that suits your style because there is tons to choose from and it’s just a great selection.

Brands: Everything! Chanel, Celine, Versace, Louboutin, Burberry, plus tons and tons more.

Do you shop for cool finds when you’re vacationing? What is the best place you’ve discovered while traveling?

Here are some other photos we took while in Monaco.

They were already setting up for the Monaco Grand Prix when we were there.

Let’s be honest. I actually left the Monte Carlo Rolex Masters to go vintage shopping.  Although the matches I did see were so fun! I have a very understanding husband.

Hi friends! I'm a Georgia based wife & mom. I started blogging in 2009 (!) and have covered a range of topics over the years, but in 2021 I am placing an emphasis on finding the good things to celebrate. In 2020 I think we have all learned to cherish time with family, enjoy the little things, and celebrate occasions big or small. I'll share special pieces I find that I believe can punctuate these days for the best. Reach out to me at tiffany@bloomstudiocreative.com if you'd like to get in touch! Thanks for stopping by! Take your shoes off and stay a while.

If i remember correctly our hotel actually helped us book it like the day before we were set to leave because we decided we didn’t want to do the train again. the train wasn’t very convenient with the amount of luggage we had.
