Because who doesn't want to feel fabulous?
1. Just SMILE.
Fake it till you make it. Sitting in traffic? Take a deep breath and smile! It's the easiest way to give yourself a does of
endorphins,
lower your blood pressure, and
relieve stress. There's nothing you can do about it anyway. Headed to a workout that you're dreading? Just smile. It can literally trick your brain into feeling a little
less annoyed. Besides, smiling makes you seem more inviting and
confident. (And attractive. And younger. And like you've got it all figured out.) If you're sitting at your computer right now, smile. Boom, you just helped your stress level and immune system.
2. Take a WALK and think about something fantastic.
Take a walk
without looking down. Many people look at their feet, their iPhone, or just look blankly ahead. No! You got it all wrong! Take a walk
looking off into the distance at the farthest trees you can see. (I read this one somewhere a long time ago and I swear this works!)
Think about something fabulous like a recipe you want to try, or an idea you have for a new outfit. Even if you just walk around the block you'll feel a lot more
clear headed. If you've had a
creative block lately, I swear you can get the best ideas from taking this kind of walk. Whether you need to figure out a difficult predicament at work, or just have been trying to figure out a better way to organize your pantry, doing this seriously helps! Oh, and keep up a good pace,
don't just shuffle along. Also take deep breaths. Extra points for smiling while walking. ;)
3. Just DO IT.
Do something that you've been meaning to do forever. Maybe there is just a DIY project you wanted to try from Pinterest. Head to Michaels and get started now! Maybe you've been saying for years you were going to write a novel. Sit down and just start writing, even if you aren't sure exactly where it's headed.
Sometimes, the best thing you can do is just start, and then you can see where it takes you. If you aren't sure what you want to do, just take a moment to get inspired. Whether its flipping through Vogue, visiting a museum, or heading to a painting class, do something that will inspire you to
get started on something fabulous!!
