In this case, I'm "going green" in more ways than one. You might notice the handbag I'm carrying is new. It's green, but it's also green! Let me 'splain....
This bag by The Underground Chic, is made from plastic bottles. It looks like leather at first glance, but look again, and you'll see it is actually a screen print on the bag! Quite the clever idea. I think it adds a fun, whimsical touch. (Remember the canvas bags that came out a while back that had a photo of a birkin bag on it? It's kind of like that except more fun.)
We shot these photos yesterday before we were headed to brunch and shopping since we're in Las Vegas. Literally within the first hour of shopping I had 3 people stop me and ask me where my bag was from, and they all wanted to touch it. hehe:) It tricks your eyes! It's like, you just want to touch it to see which part is real and which part is a print.
Top: Red Dress Boutique c/o (more to come on this Athens boutique!), Shorts: Nicole Miller for JCP (this print is sold out, but another print here), Sandals: fab'rik, Bag: The Underground Chic c/o, Bracelets: Mae Movement c/o, fab'rik, Alex and Ani, and Stella and Dot, Rings: Cartier, and Lia Sophia arrow ring c/o which I LITERALLY lose every 6 months and then get so excited when I find it again (ob.sessed), Necklace: Store in Spain that I can't remember name of, Sunglasses: Amazon $5 holla, Lips: Maybelline Fuscia Flash
I'm really weird about bags being pretty lightweight, since by the time you put all your stuff in it can really weigh you down. Especially when traveling!! I like to put everything in my bag when I'm traveling (like right now) - magazines, a bottle of water, an extra pair of flats.. you never know. The great thing about this bag is that it is super lightweight. It has enough form to keep it's shape even when you put heavy things in though. It was perfect for a day of strolling through shops and running around Vegas. It is definitely the perfect bag for traveling because the interior is roomy also.
Another thing to note, this company (which is a start up out of NY), has partnered with Trees for The Future, so that for every bag purchased, a tree is planted. Double the earth points.
The best part?? You get 20% off of this bag or any bag on the whole site with the code: "tiffanystyle".
How was everyone's weekends? I may have committed some instagram crimes by documenting our whole Vegas trip, but ya know, when in Rome. (Caesar's Palace is basically Rome, right?)
One thing I have NOT instagrammed yet are my purchases. Gasp. I. found. the. most. amazing. boots. Stay tuned. I'm now officially depressed that I have to wait so long to wear them. Since we come to Vegas quite frequently, I decided to do a first time ever "Taking Vegas" Guide on instagram, so check it out if you want to see all the steps to conquering vegas. #TandCinLV for all our Vegas pics. We'll be headed back to Georgia later today, so it's back to humidity for us!
Thanks for stopping by! xo
