Tomorrow, June 21, marks the first official day of summer! I am so excited for some trips to the beach and pool days! You might have seen a few weeks ago on instagram I had a full “summer prep day”. I partnered with 3 places in Atlanta to really kickstart my workout and skincare routines for summer.
In today’s post, we’ll revisit that #TSBsummerPrep day for full details. Follow along!
#TSBsummerPrep DAY!!! Here we go!
Flywheel / Buckhead / 9:30 am
My first stop of #TSBsummerPrep day was to finally try a Flywheel class. I’ve been to 1 spin class ever (years ago), and hated it so much that I actually left early. So you can imagine my hesitation when I was asked to try this class. Much to my surprise, not only was it not terrible, but I LOVED it. Trying to reach the speed that the instructor is directing your toward can bring out the competitiveness in anyone. Flywheel truly is like no other spin class – even the music is on point! And I love the stadium style seating and dark lighting. My favorite part though? It burns tons and tons and tons of calories. I wish I could say I’m the kind of person who takes the stairs and parks far away to get in some extra walking, etc. I’m not. I’m the kind of person that is usually wearing heels. And is running late. At all times. So that being said, I prefer my workout to be the kind of workout where I’m killing it for 45 minutes, then done for the day. If I’m going to take the time to put on gym clothes, drive to gym, park, etc, then no I don’t want to be that person flipping through a magazine while casually walking on the treadmill. Get in. Get out. Burn 500 calories. Go try it!
Sign up for your first class free and try it.

Icebox / Buckhead (Roswell Road) / 11:15 am
My next stop on #TSBsummerPrep day was down the road at Icebox!
I got a lot of texts and questions after posting about this visit! What is it? What does it do? The best answers you can find on their website as they break down all the ins and outs of why it is used. But my description in regular people talk is this: For 3 minutes you jump into this ice chamber (seen below), causing your body to go into survival mode because it thinks you’ll get hypothermia! This causes toxins to be flushed away, and the intense cold activates collagen production leaving your skin firm and tight. It can help with a ton of things like: pain and inflammation, metabolism, better hair and nails and even a better immune system. Overall, it does wonders and I can’t wait to go hop in this icebox a few more times this summer! And no, it’s not scary. I was nervous to try it, but after doing it you kind of “get” what all the craze is about. Your hands and feet stay warm in gloves/booties seen above. You feel like a bit of a new person when you get out. Go try it and tell them I sent you!

Julian’s also has a fabulous selection of makeup and products! They carry Laura Mercier, Jouer, Smashbox and more. Lately I’ve been loving the Laura Mercier primer and tinted moisturizer. It’s so lightweight which is perfect for summer. You can even pick up a Nest candle here – my favorite! (I love to get the Bamboo scent.) Sometimes you can even catch Julian himself when you stop by! Make an appointment to get your makeup done with him and he can show you how to best use all of the products.
PS – This post officially kicks off my Summer Beauty Series! Summer just calls for that extra bit of attention towards the beauty and fitness routines in general, so I thought now would be the perfect time to delve into the beauty scene a bit more. Stay tuned for product reviews, makeup picks, summer hair care and more. I don’t want to give too much away, but it’s going to be good!!
