While I do usually have a running list of looks I want to attempt, sheer top hasn’t really been one of them. When I saw this gorgeous Robert Rodrigeuz number at Neiman Marcus though, the leather details and pretty sheer panels changed my mind. I just had to give it a shot! (You know I’m a sucker for black and white, and always up for a style challenge.)
I originally planned to wear it untucked with something high-waisted which would have eliminated any midsection showing. Once I started trying it on though with different things, it just didn’t work. So I decided to tuck it and go for it with this leather paneled Tibi skort because I loved the way the leather pieces played against each other. When tucking in a button up, you inevitably get that little blousing effect above the waistband which I knew would make it hard to photograph, but I decided to go for it anyway. The humidity killed my hair this day (gah) but I still kind of loved this look even though it was a bit out of my comfort zone. Robert Rodriguez has a lot of other crazy fabulous sheer paneled tops, at Neiman Marcus right now FYI! ;) Jump on in, the water’s fine.
