As you might have noticed, I’ve been wearing my Dolce & Gabbana Classic Cream lip colors all spring and summer long.  I love the way the color stays on but doesn’t dry out my lips.  Today I thought I would just highlight my favorite 4 colors.

L to R: Fire / Mandorla / Chic / Guilty

1.  Fire: This is the perfect “summer red.” I like my summer red lipstick to be a bit brighter and more watermelon-ish and this one hits the mark perfectly. It was perrrrfect on the 4th of July, and stayed on the whole party! I wore it out a few weeks ago to a party and everyone kept asking how my lips stayed so perfectly in place.  ;) Now you know.  Maybelline Sensational Vivids in “Neon Red” is a great, less expensive option too. 

2.  Mandorla: This color I’ve been wearing as my go-to “nude.” If we’re really being honest  here, I’ll note: this is the color I swipe on at a red light before running into my next meeting/coffee date. That’s the nice thing about a good nude lip – it gives you a little something but requires almost no effort. Note: nude is not the best color for photo-taking usually.

3.  Chic: This is my go-to for when I want color, but not extreme “BAM” like the Fire & Guilty shades.  And to be honest, I can also pretty much put this one on without looking! This one has been that perfect in-between color that I keep going back to. Not trying too hard but still gives a polished look.

4. Guilty: Guilty as charged! This is bright pink. Like, super bright! While I will admit, I clearly favor a classic red most of the time, sometimes the outfit just won’t go with red. Case in point – the “it was all yellow” post last week. I am wearing “guilty” in this look because the red just wouldn’t have cut it with that yellow top.  Plus it’s fun to swap it up sometimes with a pop of unexpected color.
