I shared bit of this look last Monday for the Well-Kept giveaway, but since today is the last day to enter and I never shared the full outfit, I figured we should re-visit! Plus, I need to talk about these boots, as I promised! (Enter Giveaway Below!!!)
These boots are part of the Altuzarra for Target collection, and I just knew they’d probably be super uncomfortable or cheap looking, but for me they actually turned out to be perfect. As I mentioned last week in my Faux Fall post, I made one order for this Target + Altuzarra collection, but after seeing several bootie instagrams, I had to go back for them too. I didn’t see the reviews saying to go up a 1/2 size until after I ordered them. Fortunately for me they turned out to fit perfectly. My verdict is that if you have normal to narrow feet, you’ll be ok with your normal size. If you have slightly wider feet you’ll want to go up a half size.
Normally a nearly 5 inch heel in a bootie is not my preference. I feel like in the fall and winter you should get a bit of a pass and be able to wear a lower heel bootie (like this Sole Society pair I’ve been wearing). But in this case, they really are so do-able that the 5 inch heel doesn’t bother me at all. In fact I did a photo shoot yesterday in Piedmont Park (coming soon to blog) and we were walking all over and I was ok. Let’s be honest I wouldn’t have wanted to spend the whole day walking in them around the park, but 1 hour didn’t kill me and most 5 inch heels would!
What’s that you say? You’re waiting for them to go on sale? I get it – I usually shop the Target collections once they go on deep discount! If you’re in that boat, I’d say pin them now, shop ’em later, and you better believe I’ll letcha know the second they go on sale. Heck I might buy another pair then.
Final words on these boots. I saw someone describe them as “witch boots” and it kind of made me like them even more. Hello, Halloween in coming up. #DoubleDuty
