January Fitness Game

Today’s post is a little outside the box for me, but we are swapping things up!  After a few days of staying mostly indoors last week avoiding the cold weather, I was actually dying to run around outside this weekend! There wasn’t a cloud in the sky and it was a gorgeous (yet quite chilly) on Saturday.  I thought it would be the perfect time to share a few of my favorite fitness items.

I think these Old Navy workout pants (my favorite workout pants ever) have a bit of a cult following. I know I’m not the only one obsessed with them! (I have 5 PAIRS.) I hate spending a ton of money on workout clothes, so they are the perfect price and I love the fit. And yes I totally wear them as pretend leggings sometimes.  Shhh. Side note, my favorite current low key workout is going for a long walk with Charles and Bentley. Charles holds the leash so I can hold my 5 lb. weights. If you’re in my neighborhood, sorry for walking curls. Kind of awkward but I love the multi-tasking!

I got a new pair of running shoes while we were in vegas and I’ve been loving them. It’s nice kicking off the new year with a fresh new start. These are the Nike Air Zoom Pegasus 31, and are super duper comfty. Highly recommend! And they come in several other color combos.

On the wishlist …

I got Charles the Powerbeats2 headphones for Christmas and have to say I’m a little jealous of how handy these are! Leave your phone in your pocket and don’t deal with the wires in between. Fabulousss.  I will probably just borrow his because they aren’t cheap.

I’ve been dancing around the idea of getting a fitbit for about a year now. *Dramatic. I definitely think it makes you so much more aware of how much you are moving around, and is a big motivation to do better.  Especially on days I work from home and don’t take Bentley for a walk, I probably get very little steps in! Eeek. I love the new Fitbit Charge HR because it tracks your heart rate as well, which is cool, but the Fitbit Charge looks good as well. The Fitbit Flex is the slightly smaller one that works with the Tory Burch bracelet, so that one would be fab!  With the bracelet clocking in at a cool $200, and the fitbit flex itself at almost $100, that is a pretty pricey commitment … which is why it’s on my wish list, not on my wrist just yet! Also there is no screen with the Fitbit flex! The other ones will tell you the time and you can see directly how many steps you’ve taken, but the flex you just have to sync with your phone, if I’m understanding correctly, so I still haven’t decided which one I’m going to go with. Suggestions? The fitbit flex is a #1 seller on Amazon and is a little less expensive, so that seems to be a favorite.
