I picked up this powder blue dress on sale while we were in Las Vegas for New Year’s, and have been excited to give it a twirl. I love that it’s oversized silhouette is perfect for pairing with a button up now when it’s still chilly, but it will also be perfect to wear without a shirt underneath in the spring. In fact I’m already picturing it with wedges and statement necklaces for spring! :)
Style Tip: If you’re still undecided about the whole over-the-knee boot thing, (I was too), then you can always give the look a test run with over-the-knee black socks. I have these. Pair them with a pair of black shoes, and you’ll accomplish a similar look without committing to a OTK boot purchase. It sounds a little school girl crazy but paired with the right outfit, it works! One reason why I think I’ve gotten so attached to the OTK look is that you can swap it up from leggings, but still keep your legs actually warm. Winter wardrobes seem to become more and more of a challenge as the winter carries on, so it’s fun to have options besides just tights, leggings, and jeans. If you are wanting to try the OTK boot look I’ve linked some similar options below and my DUO pair is now on sale FYI!
LOVE this!!! I’ve been wearing my OTK boots nonstop, you’re totally right about them being as warm as leggings!
Seriously though! So warm and cozy! My new go-to!! Thank you for stopping by Jackie!! xo
