Office Renovation with Devine Color (Part 1)

photo 3 (9)Today I am thrilled to share some inspiration for my soon-to-be newly renovated office! (Scroll to bottom for “before” photo!) I have been working with Devine Color for the past few months to come up with the perfect color scheme to match some of the furniture I already have and the general feel I am going for.

Before I dive right into the look I’m going for in the office, I thought I should tell you a little bit about Devine Color and why I really wanted to work with them!

1. Discovery Cards: For starters, Devine Color has an amazing system for choosing paint color with their discovery cards. Have you ever agonized over paint swatches for days, or worst, just picked a color blindly because you couldn’t bare to drive back to the paint store to get more samples? Once, I actually just went off of a pinterest recommendation for “the best gray” without even picking up a swatch of it or testing an area first. I was surprised when the painters told me they were done because it looked like the exact same construction grade beige we already had in that room! Ah! Randomly, a few months later, my friend made the exact same mistake with the exact same color so I know I’m not the only person who has done this! (It was “Revere Pewter” by the way, and it doesn’t look that gray in rooms that get a lot of light!!)

Enter, the Discovery Cards by Devine Color.  Instead of choosing a color from a sea of tiny numbered paint chips, the best trend-proof colors are displayed all together on smaller sheets, called Discovery Cards. No fan decks, tiny paint chips, or mass-produced colors here! The best part is the viewing window in the middle of the card. You can hold up the cards next to furniture, rugs, paintings, and other decor in the room to really get a feel for which color looks the best. Genius! This makes the process of choosing a color so much easier! The cards are $4.95 a piece, but you can apply that towards your paint purchase once you have your color selected. Did I mention free shipping on paint? No purchase minimum.

2. The Devine Color Promise: Bottom line, if you end up hating your color, you’re covered.  You just purchase a new Devine Color hue and then send them a photo of both colors to get a refund for your original purchase. Breathe easy! This really takes the stress out of finding the perfect color!

Here are a few photos of my favorite offices that I used for inspiration. You can also visit my massive Office Decor pinterest board for tons of more inspo.

As I am typing, old caulking is being removed and the walls are being primed! Stay tuned for the new colors I chose for the room and to see my final office reveal!

PS – If you are a renter or looking to DIY a small project, Devine Color actually has self-adhering, easy-to-apply wallpaper at Target!!! This one below is my favorite. Our downstairs half-bath might have to get a mini-makeover with this goodness!!

Hi friends! I'm a Georgia based wife & mom. I started blogging in 2009 (!) and have covered a range of topics over the years, but in 2021 I am placing an emphasis on finding the good things to celebrate. In 2020 I think we have all learned to cherish time with family, enjoy the little things, and celebrate occasions big or small. I'll share special pieces I find that I believe can punctuate these days for the best. Reach out to me at tiffany@bloomstudiocreative.com if you'd like to get in touch! Thanks for stopping by! Take your shoes off and stay a while.
