Hello Spring

One thing I’ve been loving lately in the maternity department is swing dresses. I would love to be one of those people that can pull off the form-fitting maternity dresses, but I think I’ve decided they just aren’t my style. (Well, I guess I haven’t really tried any, but I just haven’t been drawn to them.) I know there are all plenty of rules out there about flowy dresses just making you look larger than you already are (pregnant or not) but for me, a swingy dress just feels a little more glam right now. I could totally see this dress styled with a big floppy hat, flat sandals and a stack of bangles for summer. Right? The good news is that if you go to Asos, and type in “swing dress” a ton of options come up. 556 swing dress options to be exact. And although the Asos maternity department is quite good, I love finding things in the “regular” section still so I can wear it later, and swingy dresses seem to be a perfect match. These pics were taken last weekend at Sea Island (at The Lodge) but you might have seen me already wearing this dress again on instagram on Saturday this past weekend (also at Sea Island). Yep – I can tell it’s going to be on repeat. And I actually bought this dress before I was pregnant last year! I wore it to fashion week last September.
