Today’s look is most likely the last of the last maternity photos! (Due date was Thursday but we’re still waiting! Stay tuned!) We decided to celebrate our last doctor checkup by testing out the new Georgetown Cupcakes at the Buckhead Atlanta development. It did not disappoint! I can see why people line up for these cupcakes!
In other news, my other new summer treat is this fabulous wooden watch. I stopped wearing my other chunky gold watch a few months ago simply because all of a sudden it just felt too heavy and clunky. I have been loving this wooden watch because it is so lightweight and easy to wear. It’s just a more comfortable fit. And the wood I think adds a little contrast to my otherwise mostly sparkly and gold arm party. Charles gave me the bracelet next to this watch for our 5 year anniversary (slash we’re-having-a-baby!) present, and I haven’t taken it off since. Literally it’s been on my arm since April, and this watch stacks perfectly next to it. I think this is going to be my new left hand combo!
You can check out all of the Wood Watches by Jord on their website, woodwatches.com. Thank you to the team at Jord for sending this one over for me to try out! I truly love it!
One other random side note: I think almost every pregnant person ends up finding one outfit item they can’t live without, and I have been no exception. I remember Zanna Roberts Rassi always talking about her leather leggings when she was pregnant with her twins – she would just swap out the top and accessories. An article I just read the other day pointed out several fashion gals wearing the same basic dress over and over during pregnancy that they “enliven” with different accessories. For me? This dress is my one item. I have worn this dress so many different ways. With a blazer, with a vest, with a scarf … with flats and with heels … with a long necklace, with no necklace, with a choker … Oh yes, this has been my item! By now it is probably sold out, but the lesson remains the same. Finding one item that truly works, that you can build other outfits around, is so much easier than starting with a clean slate over and over! Another styling lesson brought to you by maternity challenges! And ps this dress is not maternity, although let’s be honest I might be sick of it soon. As for now – lifesaver. Thank you Asos for always coming through for me with the best items! There are some other great swing dresses here that are very similar if you are looking!
Thank you for stopping by today! xo
Tiffany, seems there are 3 summer treats here: the great watch, the tasty looking cupcake and your probable last maternity wear post! Hope all goes well these next days…
XO,
Catherine
