One thing I think almost all new parents have in common is the middle of the night worries. When William was sleeping in the bassinet in our room as a newborn, I would peek over him all the time to make sure everything was ok. Usually with my iPhone light glaring in his face! Once he moved from the bassinet in our room to his crib (at 1 month old), I found myself glancing at the monitor all throughout the night. And when I say “glancing” I mean staring at it intently to make sure I could see him breathing. Then one day I ran across the Owlet, and I knew I had to give it a try!
The Owlet is a smart sock that monitors your baby’s heart rate and oxygen levels. It uses the same technology that is in hospitals. If something becomes irregular, the Owlet will alert you on your phone. So cool right? Now that William wears this little sock all night, I sleep so much more soundly! If I wake up in the middle of the night and want to check on him, I just open the app on my phone, and see the lovely little “owl” stretch his wings, and then read the little words I love to see: “all readings normal.” Ah. Back to sleep! :)
If you want to learn more about how Owlet works, visit their website here. And if you want to order one, you can use my link for $20 off here! If you’re currently expecting, it would be a great item to ask for on your registry!
Thank you for stopping by today! You can read last week’s William Wednesday post here about other tools for a good night’s sleep! xo
