The Perfect Bubble Bath Essentials

bubblebath2

One of my mantras lately, is to love the little things. So often, I think we get caught up in seeing our instagram feeds of fabulous vacations, amazing adventures, picturesque outfits, etc. that we start to feel like we need to be doing something way more fabulous everyday. In reality, since we’re not going to always be on vacation, I think it’s really important to relish the little things that you can enjoy right from home on a normal day. Whether it be a nice cup of your favorite tea, ending the day with a bubble bath, or simply flipping through a fabulous coffee table book you have instead of catching up on your DVR for a little change of pace.

That being said, today I want to talk about the perfect bubble bath essentials. I’ve never really been a major “bath person” as I’m more of a take a quick shower and go type of girl. But lately it does seem to be something I’m enjoying more as a change of pace.

Actually, a few months ago I decided to treat myself to a bubble bath after a long day, and quickly realized the bubble bath I had was literally from about 7 years ago. (What.  Note to self to clean out my products in my bathroom more often!! Who knows what the shelf life is but suffice it to say 7 years is probably too long.)

Right then I decided I needed to do an overhaul on my bath supplies and step up my game. When Antica Farmacista happened to get in touch to see if I’d like to review some products, it was almost like they had read my mind! ;)

Here’s what you need to turn a regular ole bath into a luxurious, home spa night that is a total treat:

  1. Bubbles. Obviously. Clearly I am loving this Antica Farmacista, and not only does it smell amazing and feel fabulous, I really think it looks quite gorgeous sitting on the edge of my tub. Instead of stuffing it away in my bathroom closet, I like to leave it sitting out because it’s so pretty, and also serves as a reminder that a nice little spa night can start whenever I’d like.
  2. Candles. Actually you just need one – no need to start a seance. I usually keep my favorite Diptyque candle in Baies next to the tub, but on the particular day that I shot these photos I had used a new candle I got from Paris Market in Savannah. A candle just adds that special little something to make it feel like you’re really in relaxation mode.
  3. Reading Material. Lately I’ve been loving “Elements of Style” by blogger Erin Gates. Magazines are the more likely option because obviously you don’t have to worry as much about dropping them in the water! Of course if you’d like to unplug completely, skip this one! :)
  4. Blooms. I love to have fresh flowers around the house as much as possible, and especially in the bathroom! They really do add a special touch & make everything a little more wonderful.
  5. Multi-task. If you have a favorite facial mask, teeth whitening, or any other extra you’ve been meaning to do, now is the time to do it. When you get out, you won’t feel like you’ve wasted time since you managed to kill 2 birds with one stone. ;) If I really want to multi-task, I’ll even play a podcast, but most of the time I like to opt for a book or just close my eyes.
  6. Neck Rest.  I almost ordered this little bath pillow online, but decided against it because the style of my tub lends itself to just rolling a fluffy towel up and using that instead. If your tub has an awkward edge though, there are tons of bath pillows that will air dry and suction right to the edge.
  7. Moisturize. Once you get out, you’ll definitely want to remember to lather on the lotion so your skin doesn’t get dry!

Enjoy your relaxations! xo

This was not a sponsored post, but thank you to Antica Farmacista for sending over this fabulous bubble bath for me to try out.

Hi friends! I'm a Georgia based wife & mom. I started blogging in 2009 (!) and have covered a range of topics over the years, but in 2021 I am placing an emphasis on finding the good things to celebrate. In 2020 I think we have all learned to cherish time with family, enjoy the little things, and celebrate occasions big or small. I'll share special pieces I find that I believe can punctuate these days for the best. Reach out to me at tiffany@bloomstudiocreative.com if you'd like to get in touch! Thanks for stopping by! Take your shoes off and stay a while.
