Don’t you love when you find something so good that it becomes a no-brainer? Like a favorite holiday dish you can whip up in no time without even looking at a recipe. Quick and easy little “go-to’s” like that are basically vital during the holidays, right??

For years now, one of my favorite things to give as a hostess gift is a red currant candle by Votivo. Why? I happen to know for a fact that it is one of those random scents that literally everyone loves.   (I know this from my days at fab’rik where this candle was burned all day every day, and still is! Years of customers and loving the smell when they walk in, can’t be wrong.)

Holiday Tip: Buy a few of these candles now, get them wrapped in the store, and leave them in your car for when you need a last minute hostess gift. That is exactly what I’ve been doing the past few years, and it has seriously come in so handy. No rushing around last minute. I love giving this more than a bottle of wine because the host can enjoy it way longer. (You can look up where Votivo is sold near you here so you can already have it wrapped!)

That being said, recently I was looking for the perfect “fall” candle to start burning all the time at my house, and I ran across Votivo’s new “spiced chai” scent. It is just as amazing as it sounds. The first one I got I burned every single day pretty much all day the second it came in the mail. It’s just so good!  So while you’re grabbing a few red currant candle hostess gifts, get yourself the spiced chai, and keep your home smelling festive all season long. Oh – and another great part? The price point is perfectly on budget. Honestly, I love burning candles WAY too much to spend tons of money on each one.

Another tip: Once you’ve finished burning your candle, put it in the freezer for a few hours. Then use a knife to easily pop out any remaining wax residue, and you have yourself a reusable glass jar with no messy scraping involved.

I use my empty jars to store makeup brushes on my bathroom counter.

(PS These IT Cosmetics holiday makeup brushes make a perfect under $50 gift too and they are FABULOUS. I use my IT Cosmetics brushes every single day.)

Hi friends! I'm a Georgia based wife & mom. I started blogging in 2009 (!) and have covered a range of topics over the years, but in 2021 I am placing an emphasis on finding the good things to celebrate. In 2020 I think we have all learned to cherish time with family, enjoy the little things, and celebrate occasions big or small. I'll share special pieces I find that I believe can punctuate these days for the best. Reach out to me at tiffany@bloomstudiocreative.com if you'd like to get in touch! Thanks for stopping by! Take your shoes off and stay a while.
