Mommy Monday: Travel Style with Vera Bradley

Duffle Bag: Vera Bradley c/o / Hat: Dear Keaton c/o / Dress: Asos (such a steal!) very similar here / Earrings: Dear Keaton c/o / Doormat: Etsy (a gift from my sister, thanks Lizzle!;)

Happy Monday! Today is another #MommyMonday post with my girls Nina, Alex, Katie, and Mireille

I am really excited about this post for multiple reasons. For years, I have had it on my wish list to find a carryon sized bag that has the little sleeve where you can easily slip it over the handle of a rolling bag.

I know. It’s the little things in life.

But seriously. It makes all the difference!!  That moment when you’re rushing through the airport, and you have one bag propped on top of your rolling bag and it keeps falling off = my travel pet peeve!

So anyway, I am SUPER stoked to have found this bag on Vera Bradley’s site. (It is called the Streeterville Travel Duffle Cha Cha with black by Vera Bradley if you want to search for it. Also linked it here.) I knew immediately that the fun print would go perfectly with the black rolling bag I already have. I’m seriously so excited to pair them up for my next longer trip. But it works perfectly alone for quick weekend trips too. I took it to Sea Island for the Southern C Summit last month, and it was the perfect size for shoes, toiletries, a few pieces of clothes, etc. because I kept most of my clothes on hangers.

Speaking of longer trips though, I am a big believer in carrying 2 medium or smallish bags versus one huge bag. It just makes it easier to navigate getting around. And this particular duffle bag fits A LOT. (And that’s coming from someone who packs a lot!)

Last but not least, I wanted to take a minute to share some places on my travel bucket list. Lately I’ve had the itch to go somewhere new since we haven’t traveled internationally in the past couple of years since William arrived. If I were to ever travel with William, I would re-read this post by Barefoot Blonde, as it is the ultimate travel with baby post in my opinion! It is a couple of years old, and I remember reading it when William was tiny, thinking “ok I could totally do this” but alas I haven’t been brave enough yet!  Anyway, here is my travel bucket list right now:

Places I’m Dying to Visit:

  1. Paris – I’ve been once (see that post here) but it was only for a few days so I feel like I need to go back now that I’ve gotten a better feel for it. Plus, #ParisFashionWeek. Ultimate goal. Let’s be honest.
  2. Greece – Santorini has been on my list for a long time. Charles has been once but it was forever ago.
  3. Ireland – Ever since this post by Gal Meets Glam, I’ve wanted to go to Ashford Castle. Amazing.
  4. Skagit Tulip Festival in Washington – Random. But another blogger inspired trip. Millions of tulips – count me in.
  5. St. Lucia – We’ve been to Turks & Caicos and the Bahamas, but I’d love to add a few more places in the Caribbean to my list. St. Lucia seems fab.

Both Charles and I agree that our favorite international destination by far is Monaco. We had SUCH a good time there and it is STUNNING. We actually had booked another trip for next month but just canceled it because we didn’t know at the time that we would have just moved into a new house, but we will definitely go back soon.

That’s all for now! Happy Monday! Make sure to check out the other girl’s posts too linked at the top of the post!

Thank you for stopping by today! xo

thank you to Erin for the photos.

Hi friends! I'm a Georgia based wife & mom. I started blogging in 2009 (!) and have covered a range of topics over the years, but in 2021 I am placing an emphasis on finding the good things to celebrate. In 2020 I think we have all learned to cherish time with family, enjoy the little things, and celebrate occasions big or small. I'll share special pieces I find that I believe can punctuate these days for the best. Reach out to me at tiffany@bloomstudiocreative.com if you'd like to get in touch! Thanks for stopping by! Take your shoes off and stay a while.

Hi! I love this bag! Have you traveled with it on a plane yet? I know it would be tight – but I’m wondering if you can cram it under the airplane seat. Usually I have a roller bag + under the seat bag. This wouldn’t be my all-the-time second bag but for those longer trips or Christmas time when there are gifts to tote back and forth, sweaters, boots, etc! I have fit some larger bags under there for ~2 hr flights. But was just curious your experience with this bag!!

    Thanks!
