Gone are the days of mindlessly strolling Target and Home Goods on a leisurely Saturday for some fall decor inspo, while sipping my Pumpkin Spice Latte. hehe. With a (very sweet + handsome) 2 year old in tow, I’m lucky to get in a quick trip to Kroger. ;)
But I still love getting into the fall spirit of course, so I thought I’d share the latest inspiration that you can literally just add to your cart at the grocery store. #winning
- Mini pumpkins – I went a little crazy on the mini pumpkins this year. You can get a whole bag in the produce department for like $5 at Fresh Market. (Score!) I added them to this table seen above and my mantle.
- Mums – I still want to fill up my front steps with some pretty mums but I’m a little worried I’ll kill them. And I think it might be better to wait until its a little cooler maybe? I plan to get some soon.
- Pumpkin Candle – I bought a pumpkin candle (this one) at Fresh Market that is AMAZING. Truth be told, is there a bad pumpkin smelling candle tho? Is there? Probably not. I really want to DIY about 80 pumpkin spice candles so I can just burn them all day long. Stay tuned for if I get around to that. lol
- Massive pumpkins – I know, this list is getting wild. And super creative. But seriously though – buy a few real, large pumpkins, and display them around your house for a while, and then, hello, EAT THEM! I love to make roasted pumpkin seeds. Our pumpkins are filling out the space under our entryway foyer table. Design Tip: Select an odd number of pumpkins, in different sizes for the ultimate visual interest.
Who’s with me on the #basic #simple decor ideas this year? Sometimes simple & easy is better!
Happy Fall!
PS – Props to Laura for helping me create an entryway table that is super easy to update for different seasons. I love that I can just swap out a few details and it’s done! Eventually we might do a post showing this table 4 ways for 4 seasons, if anyone wants to see that? Let me know!
