Fall Uniform

Shift Tweed Dress by Sail to Sable c/o /  Boots / this season’s version of my bag

Hi friends!

I love declaring a “uniform” for every season because it makes it super quick to get ready.

My fall uniform this year involves a simple dress & boots, like seen above. Sometimes with leggings, sometimes without. I have a couple of alternative “uniforms” but a dress and boots is really my go-to right now.

This Sail to Sable tweed number has been ON REPEAT, I repeat, ON REPEAT. 

For starters, it makes me feel kind of official. I wore this to a meeting downtown recently and felt all kinds of fall biz lady. I think it’s the tweed.

And I think the Sail to Sable ladies must have given this one a particularly flattering cut because it is doing me a few favors in the mid-section area. 

But if we’re being REALLY, really honest…. (and that’s what blogs are for, right?)

I really have been wearing it so much because you can wear it a few times before dry cleaning, so I can just hang it up, and voila – less laundry, no wrinkles, & boom – it’s ready to go for next time. I pretty much live for pieces like this that require no steaming or ironing or thinking. ;)

I mean really. 

It’s the little things people. I should really probably own more tweed.
