Post updated for fall/winter 2016 // Dress: Marchesa via Rent The Runway, this style is no longer available, but this feather dress is similar, Heels: Charles David c/o
No need to get your feathers ruffled when trying to decide on a cocktail dress for all of those holiday parties! One of my easy no-brainer solutions is to snag a Rent The Runway dress when I’m at a loss for what to wear. Schedule it in advance for the whole holiday season and you’ll really be on top of your game! ;)
I don’t rent a ton, but when I do it’s usually for a busy weekend with lots of things going on. AKA, the holidays!! (Last rental was this summer for my birthday and a wedding weekend all in one. Super life-saver!)
As I’ve mentioned before, the best parts of renting in my opinion is getting to try new styles you wouldn’t normally (how many times would I really wear a feather dress if I had purchased it?), and having the joy of sending it back without worrying about dry cleaning or anything.
One thing I’ve started doing a lot lately is paring down and de-cluttering. Something about sending it back when I’m done makes me feel like I’ve wrapped a pretty little bow on the whole situation and I love not taking up more space in my closet. #WINNING
PS – Never used Rent the Runway before?? Use my referral link (HERE) and enjoy $30 off your first purchase! Woo! You can read other posts I’ve written about my RTR obsession here and here.
