Since today marks the first day of New York Fashion Week, I thought I would share my standard pre-Fashion Week checklist! This will officially be my 10th fashion week, which is nuts! I am only going up for 1 day this time, (this Sunday) because William is too little for me to be gone too long, so it will be a whirlwind trip!
I’m planning on putting all the behind the scenes on my snapchat (OlsonTiffany) and I’ll be LIVE broadcasting shows on my Periscope! Find me – @TiffanyOlson. And of course follow along on instagram! @tiffanyolson
Here’s what I do every February and September before heading out:
- Clear out photo space on phone
- Check the weather and plan outfits – the most time consuming!
- Organize outfits by day in hanging bag with coordinating accessories
- Put together a survival kit (extra phone charger, advil, breath mints…)
- Research any new designers I’ll be attending shows for
- Plan relevant blog posts I need to work on while I’m there
- Schedule photos with Lydia
- Order more business cards
- Coordinate show/party plans with blogger friends
- Finalize itinerary and add addresses & cross streets
- Coordinate dinner plans with NYC friends or other bloggers
- Charge camera battery and empty memory card
- Get a fresh manicure & brows shaped 2 days before departure date
- Try to get a good night’s sleep before flight! (This never happens.)
What are some of the things you do before a big trip?
Thank you for stopping by today! xo

What a great list Tiffany! I imagine doing all of this with a baby made things slightly different this time around! : ) looking forward to seeing what you wear – I know you’ll make the most of your one day.
Attending NYFW in February was more fun than I’d ever imagined. And also colder! ; ) The energy of the shows really blew me away.
