^^ William’s first sip of hot cocoa & he wouldn’t sit his mug down for us to see his face!! lol :) When he came up for air he said, “I want more!!!!”
As I mentioned in Friday’s post, I am really, really into Christmas this year. I think the combination of William’s magical age + the fact that we’re in a new home this year, has me decorating every nook and cranny and planning activities galore. I mean, why not?
One of the thing my dad always made for us growing up was amazing hot cocoa all season long. Charles and I have kept the tradition going, which is pretty easy since Charles also is a huge fan of hot cocoa. His motto is the more chocolate the better, my motto is the more marshmallows the better. #Winning
I have set up a little cocoa station almost every year recently, but this year I really stepped it up! These mugs from Mackenzie-Childs are just so cute, you kind of want to drink hot cocoa all the time!
Usually our center island has a big tall bowl of fruit in it. But clearly we are already indulging in a few sweet treats around here!
This will be our second year having Christmas brunch hosted at our house, but the first year in our new house. So I’ve been making checklists galore of what we’ll serve, & what all I want to include. One thing is for sure, we’ll definitely have hot cocoa on hand!
I’m including a little checklist below of some goodies you may want to include in your next cocoa bar station!
- Candy canes
- Pirouette cookies (my fave!)
- Andes mints
- Biscotti
- Peppermints (crushed up would be good!)
Make sure to check out how the other ladies from our Mommy Monday group are styling their homes with Mackenzie-Childs this holiday season – and tune in to Instagram tonight for a fabulous giveaway you won’t want to miss! Note: When I say fabulous, I mean really really fabulous. You will definitely want to enter to win.

Thank you for stopping by today!
All photos by me. Which took some patience with a self timer. ;) Why are indoor photos so hard?? WHY.
Thank you to Mackenzie-Childs for sending over these goodies for us to enjoy!
